St.
Joseph of Pisano Church
Built in 1692 by Mons. Andrea Raggio,
bishop of Catania, it was completely destroyed by the earthquake
of 1894 and was completely rebuilt and finished in 1902 on a project
made by the architect Filadelfo Fichera from Catania. In Romantic-Lombard
style, it has the façade in lava stone. On the value portal
St. Joseph statue is placed carved in white stone.
The church has a perfect Latin cross planimetry. Damaged again by
the violent earthquake of 1984, it has been restructured in 1995.
Inside there in the ancient St. Joseph picture by Antonio Bova.
